Setting up a CICS 4.1 configured 4x9. Using all 7316s (square key) except port 109 (DN29) wihich will be a T7100. I'm using the 7100 as a courtesy phone and want it to grab a free line when it goes off hook.

Set dn 29 to no line appearences; pool A access; prime line= pool A. 2 ICM buttons default.

The 4 lines are set as pool A lines and also have appearences at all the other sets.

The problem is: Reguardless of what I program the 7100's prime line to, it always gives ICM dialtone when off hook. It will access a pool line if 9 is dialed... But I wanted the customers not to have to do that.

What am I doing wrong??????????

you need to program (under capabilaties ) the set to do a hotline with a feature 78 ( timed pause ) you should also program in capabilaties to use pool A ( press show twice where it says " use prime line " This may be jibberish because I don't have the step by step directions in front of me.
