Good day, I have a 7025-F50 with AIX V5.1-04. Can this aix box be upgraded to AIX V5.2 or AIX V5.3 ? Also do I have enough room to upgrade

This system is not on the list for unsupported systems. You should be able to uprade it to 52 or 53. Just make sure you upgrade the frimware to the latest level.

The latest firmware will let you run aix 5.3

L04197 Added support for AIX 5.3.
Added boot support for mksysb created on optical media in Universal Data Format.
Corrects intermittent problems with valid system bootlist being ignored on systems with level L03115 or L03273 installed when bootlist is altered via graphics display being used as the system console.

I have an F50 running AIX 5.3 with no issues. Listen to lpblauen and upgrade the firmware first.

for the firmware, you should probably do the device microcode too while you are there, scsi adapters, disks, tape drives, etc.
