702 Server Will Not Boot.....HELP!!!!!!!

I have a 702T server running NT 3.5 and an older version of symposium. We had a planned power outage two weeks ago, and the server was brought down gracefully.

Now when booting the server, everything works until it gets to running NT, where it crashes with the message "unknown hard error". And proceeds to do a dump.

Booting in DOS, I ran all the various diagnostics on the drives, etc, and everything is fine. I replaced the SCSI cable (it was loose) and ran checks on the drives: no errors.

Any idea what's happening? Any ideas on a solution? My compamy isn't doing all that well, and we can't afford anything. Oh...We also couldn't afford a Notel Maintenace Contract, most everyone else is already gone.

Aside from updating my resume (already done), any other ideas for fixing this?

Thanks in advance!

I figured it out on my own, but it may happen to someone else.

The is a NT 3.51 problem where the registry overflows. It only fails the server on reboot. The solution is to use a prior version of the registry.

Hold the space bar down alot while booting!
