Hey guys,

I passed the 70-306 (VB.NET Windows) exam yesterday! I passed the 70-305 (VB.NET Web) exam a few weeks back, so one more before MCAD goodness!

If anyone has any questions about these exams, feel free to post a reply.

For study materials, I just used Test King and experience for the Windows one. For the web, TK, the study guide by Que, and the Microsoft Press book.

Yeah, its weird that Test King can get away with what they do...I mean, we're technically not supposed to talk about the questions, but somehow they get away with re-creating the questions with different names used...weird.

But make no mistake: TK alone will not get you a pass. I found they helped me quite a bit to prepare for all manor of exam questions...but experience was what really helped me through some of the tougher questions.

If you took the exam once and got 60%, I'd take some time to focus on the areas they pointed out as being weaker adn then take the test again.

I can't believe how naive and stupid I was to even write that post without thinking about what I was typing...

The reason that test king gets away with duplicating questions is because that's what they do: try and get away with it. It's illegal for us as MCP's to disclose the questions on the test, and these guys do just that but in a formal way that might fool people to think they're legit (it fooled me). I guess the bottom line is anything that provides you with word-for-word questions from the exams is probably something to stay away from.

So Alex, let me change my position: DON'T use test king. Luckily I clued in with only two exams under my belt, and I'm planning on re-taking them so I can clear my concience.
