70-294 vs 70-297

I'm thinking about taking an active directory course. the 2 I've found on the M$ site are the 2 above but I can't really distinguish between the two. I've had a look on the M$ website, but they don't really help me distinguish between the two at all either. can anybody provide any guidance?

Are you planning to persue MCSE 2003certification?

Generally speaking, the required exams are:

(70-210 || 70-270) # Windows 2000 Pro or Windows XP Pro
70-290
70-291
70-293
70-294
(70-297 || 70-298) # Active Directory Design or Security Design
Elective

To obtain your MCSE 2003, you would need to pass the 70-294 exam, and either 70-297 or 70-298 as well as an elective.

Wishdiak, I haven't decided whether I'll go all the way to getting an MCSE, I haven't ruled it out, but it's not on the agenda just yet. I've done 2000 server exam (althought I'm working now in an environment of mixed 2000 and 2003 servers) and would just like to know more about AD in general to help me in troubleshooting etc. Would I be right in saying that 294 would be more what I'm after then really? Or would I need the knowledge from 297 to be able to do 294???
