Hi
Has anyone done 70-291 recently? I've been studying hard and plan to sit the exam in about 2 weeks but I'm looking for some tips on the areas I should really focus on now, Can anyone tell me which topic areas most of the questions seems to come from? Thanks in advance

DNS DNS DNS DNS DNS DNS, DHCP and RRAS. IPSec according to some guys I know who have taken it recently as well.

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

Thanks Scott,

I really appreciate the help. I have some CBTs on IPSec that I'll go take a closer look at and I guess I'll be sleeping with DNS for the next few weeks.

Thanks again.

Oh Paul Sorry about the mixup with the name. Hopefully I'm forgiven. :)

Passed 70-291 today with (only) an 810. As Paul said, LOTS of DNS. I had 47 questions, and I think at least half revolved around DNS. Saw a bunch on WSUS as well. RRAS wasn't covered as in-depth as I expected. Did have some IPSec, several on addressing/subnetting, and the rest were DHCP-related. I honestly think though that if you can ace the DNS portion of the test, that alone with get you darn close to passing. Based on my experience, DNS, WSUS, and DHCP are the ones to focus on, and knowing how to do subnetting pays off too, as the addressing and even the DHCP questions require some subnetting abilities.

FWIW, I studied TestOut, and used the UCertify test as well. Read the ExamCram book, and supplemented my weaker areas with MSPress. Any area I still felt weak on I did the "classroom/lab" training in the TestOut.
