Hello,

I'm taking the 70-290 soon. How much vbscript do we have to know? I can understand basically what's going on in visual basic script but will this appear on the test?

on a side note, how much is it really used in the real world with sysadmin/netadmin work? I've not come across it yet at all.

I had a couple of vbscript questions on it. They were just put this code in the correct order.

Yeah I had one but chose not to try and learn scripting for the exam so just guessed it :p If you have a basic knowledge already you should be fine.

As far as using VBScript in the real world, it makes it much more convenient to do simple things that normally would be time consuming. An example would be a security script. Writing a script (30 minutes with about 50 changes) and deploying to 30 servers takes less time than doing the same thing manually. I'm a big fan of scripts, and with the forum here, you can gain some pretty good scripts/good knowledge on how to run/"adjust" them to your needs:

Agreed. I guess in large corporations, scripting makes more sense.

i'll be looking for some nice templates :)
