I am a programmer who is interested in acquiring an MCAD certification. I have 3 years of experience with ASP and SQL Server 2000. I have been studying and understanding the .NET framework. In my firm, in order to work on better projects and earn more, one has to demonstrate an increase in skillsets and an eagerness to learn and evolve. Certifications help a lot. I love working with databases. However, I need a .NET certification too. I have about a month for a possible performance review.
I am now in confusion as to whether I should give exam 70-229 or 70-315 first. On one hand, I'd like to give 70-229 as I feel I have the experience for it. However, Microsoft has released SQL Server 2005 and I will have to give another exam in a year or two to catch up. On the other hand, I don't have working experience with .NET and that is a handicap while studying for it. However, giving this exam is a huge boost to my profile as a programmer.
With my schedule, it is possible to give only one within a month. Any insight from any of the more experienced programmers would definitely help!!!
