I'm working on microsoft server test, any comments or ideas to help me to pass this test. thanks

You'd think you'd have to know all about DNS, DHCP, AD, blah blah blah... but it's pretty much just the Win2k Pro test. Know about NTFS permissions, and a weeee bit about AD mainly. Darrell Mozingo

It is a lot like the W2K Pro test, but covers more details about permissions, DNS, WINS, and AD. It all depends on the questions you get, but if you did well on the Pro test you should do well on the Server test. CJ

Comments:

Study...
- Permissions (NTFS vs shared)
- Network printer options (mapping, web printers, pooling, prioites for documents and printers - which printer to print to and what documents should print first...)
- Using the AD tools
- Some IIS stuff
- The W2K setup command modifiers (eg: /s /yada yada)
- sigverf(sp?) and other dos commands
- TCP/IP and NETWARE configuration / troubleshooting

Like I said... it is a lot like the pro test.. with more of a focus on sharing objects CJ
