Has anyone tried this servicepack? I downloaded it but when I try to open in the SQL server, I get the error "Not Enough Space on Drive E to unpack..." and it asks me to free up 127 MB.

Drive E has 4GB, Drive D has 28 GB and Drive C, where the Dynamics folder is, has 9GB of free space.

Our computer tech hasn't any clue.

Thanks!

SP3 went on without a hitch on our installation about 4 weeks ago.

Is this install on your server or on the workstation??? It should be installed on the workstation...

This is on the server. It has to be installed on the SQL Server before it is installed on any clients, right?

Thanks!

which version of the SP are you using --- the one that I downloaded is 45,322mb --- does it die during the unpack or the GreatPains screen when it tells you what you are installing (and you would have to hit Next)?

If it dies during the unpack, I believe it is unpacking to the box that is running it (as in, even if it is stored on the server if I run it from my local box it will do the unpack onto my local drive --- if memory serves --- although I am unsure why it would try to unpack to an E Drive ... If it is dying after that I am going to be no good to you.

Yes it is the 44MB file. I think our computer tech is going to have to figure out what the heck he did to our server (it's always something!).

It dies when it is unpacking (after the first bar on the progress meter shows up). I downloaded the file to SQL server Drive D.

It works on my workstation, and I have to cancel the install because the server has to be done first. It just doesn't work on the server.

make sure he/she is running it from the server (I usually login with my domain admin account so I have all the correct rights)... not from his/her workstation.

Yep I ran it from the server logged in as the administrator. Until now, I never knew there was a drive E.

He created it for some reason I'm not sure about (it's called System). C is for programs and D is for Data and as far as I'm concerned that is all that should be there. What a dumbass he is - I'm so tired of it! Can I say that here??!

Thanks!

we all have our crosses/sys admins to bear... sorry to hear about another one

mine now is being very cool about everything --- sorta exciting --- and unless someone has their undies in a bundle they will not care about the dumbass comment.
