Since I doubt this is to be looked at by Avaya prior to GA can anyone here test this? I'm not sure if it impacts non SIP trunks.

Mobile Call Control enabled user does not get back dial tone when pressing ** however the calling party is placed on hold. System ignores any additional DTMF pressed by the twinned user after dialing **. Possible issue with this feature and SIP trunks?

Works for me (7.0.11030). Using it over SIP as well. Just tested it.

What is it not letting you do? Or is it just not returning Dial Tone?

Did you ring in on SIP trunks too? I remember there being a problem with forwarded calls the came in and then went out on SIP. One way speech I think. Can't remember the fix though. Someone here will pipe up I'm sure...

I never touched anything...

Yes we are 100% SIP as are a growing number of our new installs and I need to make sure that this works before I start deploying R7.

Interesting thing is Twinning works without issue. It is just the mobile call control that does not. Not only do I not get dial tone back but it totally ignores anything else after I hit **.

Hmm, I didn't get past dialling ** as I got dial tone. Let me just test dialling a user etc...

Just tried it SIP only, works fine for me. Reboot??

I'm getting a similar result... the caller gets placed on hold, but i can't dial extensions or transfer calls... is there another set of options/short codes that need to be built to enable this?

This is so odd, this makes two of us now...I am having the same problem, it was working great and all of a sudden it simply stopped working. I tried everything with the SIP configuration, rebooting, merging without rebooting and nothing worked, I still strongly believe the issue is with the carrier who confessed making changes to his SIP configuration but later retracted.
I was going to sign up with Broadvox for the demo lines for re-sellers to see if I experience the same problem, but I need to make some time to do it.

kholladay: Who are you using as your SIP carrier? What kind of firewall are you using? I am behind a Juniper SSG-20

nurban: How is your SIP trunk quality, monitor your SIP trunk with SSA and look for jitter, I had a bunch of that kind of issues when I was running our test SIP trunk on an AT&T DSL behind a Linux based firewall, I had jitter that sometimes was off the scale and my ping return time to the SIP server was 400ms or more. I then switched to a local DSL provider, installed the Juniper where I was able to get my ping return times down to 20ms-40ms, jitter went way down and I was able to do all the fun ** and twining stuff until all of a sudden it stopped working.

I have had a problem with mobile control on our switch as well, however I have just worked out that if I try it from my HTC Touch mobile it does not work, but if I try from an iphone it does !

When pressing ** on the HTC it does send DTMF.

Has anyone had this problem ?
