Sales and Marketing Bulletin Bulletin Number: SM-2004-0329-NA Date: 24 August 2004 Norstar MICS/CICS 7.0 Digital Mobility Solution and CallPilot 100/150 Release 3.0 Product Availability Update Introduction This bulletin is being issued to provide notification of newly established General Availability dates for the Norstar MICS/CICS release 7.0 Digital Mobility Solution and CallPilot 100/150 release 3.0 product launches from the previously communicated dates of November 15th and 29th 2004 respectively. The new General Availability dates have been identified to allow ample time to ensure full feature content and the level of quality that channel partners and customers have come to expect from Norstar. The new General Availability dates have been set to align the product launches to take advantage of simplified processes in standardization and product launch activities which will benefit Nortel Networks and Norstar channel partners with a larger, more cost effective LPS portfolio product launch. The new General Availability dates are as follows: • CallPilot 100/150 Release 3.0 o Advanced Product Availability January 31 2005. ?? Upgrade release 3.0 software available via the Web (Partners will use the Upgrade Kit to upgrade CallPilot 100/150 release 2.1 or earlier versions to release 3.0) allowing channels to upgrade customers needing newly released features such as Enhanced Call Center and Downloadable Greetings. ?? Enhanced Call Center key code available for order. ?? Factory will continue to ship CallPilot 100/150 release 2.1 for bundle or standalone orders. o General Availability February 28 2005 ?? CallPilot 100/150 release 3.0 will begin shipping for all standalone and bundle orders. ?? CallPilot 100/150 release 3.0 upgrade software will continue to be available via the Web. • Norstar MICS/CICS release 7.0 and the Digital Mobility Solution o General Availability February 28 2005. ?? So it looks like the big thing in 7.0 is finally a replacement for Companion? (and likely the ability to use ports 11 and 12 for station modules like we've heard previously?)
