Let me preface this request with the following - I know this is not a supported configuration.
My company is making a big push to get all of our Windows servers upgraded from 2003 to 2008. Most of our Lotus Notes servers are still running 7.0.3, but we have begun the process of upgrading to 8.5.1 FP3. I have a few hardware replacements coming up, and I am being very strongly encouraged to have them built on Windows 2008.
Here is my dilema - these servers cannot be upgraded to 8.5.1 at this time. I have been testing to see if the 7.0.3 code will actually run on Windows 2008, and I cannot even get the server to start.
If anyone has tried this as well, any feedback on your experiences would be greatly appreciated.
