Hi all. I've got a 6X16 DR5 DS w/flash VM. When someone calls in and hangs up, the system does not disconnect. I set the lines as supervised. It's the same whether it goes to an ext w/VM or to the General MB. Please HELP!

Jon

It's a replacement cabinet. Last one lost a port. It would be nice to upgrade them, but you know how that goes. They have a Flash 2. Not sure the version.

Jon

Was it working before you changed the cabinet and did you also change the software with the cabinet?

Same software, new cabinet. Bad trunk port on old cabinet. They need 6 lines.

Jon

I'm going to go & try replacing the software, if that doesn't work then I guess I'll have to find another cabinet. Or upgrade system & V.M. I'll let you know how it works out.

Jon

I wish I knew how to tell for sure if the cabinet is DS, beside the sticker.

Take two to tango!
The carrier must also provide the disconnect signal, call them before replacing anything and insist that the add the feature or repair it.
Up here Bell now calls it COD Cut Off on Disconnect

Thanks guys, I replaced the software & reprogrammed it. Everything seems to be OK now. The software must have corrupted when the system got into trouble. The lines are with Cogeco. My 1st thought was that the DS on the lines were the issue, but no.

Inside the cabinet if its not DS the large label is grey. If it DS cabinet the large label is teak (green) plus you need the right software cartridge.
