6x16 and T Series

I'm going to be throwing a T series phone into my 6x16 for testing. The documentation I have from

shows that I need an M series phone. Does that mean I can't use T series at all?

Or does it just mean I need an M series phone to program it, and I can use T series phones for the extensions?

It's an NT5B01 616 - no DS - with the following software cartridge:

I don't know which version it is, hopefully that will be enough to identify it.

Should work just will be seen as a M7310.

In My experience the T series doesen't work with NT5B01 6x16 Meridian.. I could be wrong though

Thanks. I'll go ahead and order them soon. In case it doesn't work I'll make sure I go somewhere with a decent return policy.
