6940 'stutter' dialing

Anyone experience this issue where then you dial a number, whether extension or phone number, the DTMF digits outpulsed by the phone over the speaker are out of sync with the physical key presses? Worse, they seem to stop and then burst out in batches instead of steadily sounding out the digits.

From what I've been told, there was a fw update to address this issue at some point but can't find any info on that. We're running boot version 2.0.1.3

Yes, I have this exact problem on my 6940. I find its especially noticeable when the phone is at rest/sleeping (I intentionally dim the display to 0/zero to save the LCD after 5x minutes). I find when I start dialing after the phone hasn't been used for 2-3 days (say a weekend, and I'm dialing on the Monday morning) the phone is very slow to out-pulse the DTMFs that I press. I'm definitely dialing faster then the phone is making the tones. Often on a Monday morning, my 6940 is so slow, I can dial a number and finish, and the 6940 is still pulsing the DTMFs out the speaker. I don't have this problem with any 5300 series phone - just the 6900 series.

I didn't think it was worth creating a DPAR over, but I will if it will help you/anyone else.

We are having this same issue and working with a vendor that is having a problem identifying it. Have you had any luck solving this issue? We go live with this new system with all new 6940's in 10 days.

Yes, the solution is to make sure the Online URLs form does NOT have the avatar link (from he MiCollab) applied. If it's there, the phones apparently have an issue with delayed performance dealing with the avatars.

If you don't have avatars set, then don't worry about it. Supposedly there's a patch coming.
