6900 series phones on Mitel 250 is suppose to happen this quarter. Can't happen soon enough for us.....BLUETOOTH!!!. Just hope the 6930 is more like a 5340/8568 rather than a 5330 since it has softkeys. Be pretty expensive to have to buy 6940 to get 5340/8568 functionality...JMO

the 6940 is more comparable to a 5360 but better. Not expensive at all if wireless is a consideration.

kwbMitel - Define "better..." Personally, I like the 5360 and think it's a better phone. I would take a 5360 over a6940 (and I have both on my desk). 5360 is easier to use in my opinion.

Not sure if this is the case.
Just read a Marketing Newsletter.

6900 on Multiple Platforms
Mitel's popular MiVoice 6900 Series of mobile-first, premium desk phones will be available to even more customers this August when support is introduced for MiVoice Office 400, MiVoice 5000 and MiVoice MX-ONE.

Maybe someone said Mitel 5000 but didn't mean the MiVO250 they actually meant the legacy Aastra products.

I wish Mitel would stop the name changes, it's hard to keep up.

@sarond

The MiVoice Office 250 will support the 69xx series phones on version 6.3 scheduled Q4 2017.

Agree the name changes are bordering on ridiculous, there is a bulletin mentioning the 53xx series phones are being discontinued on the Mitel 5000 I had to read it twice before I realized the Aastra is now the Mitel 5000 (Never worked on Aastra).

Always think that this happens when you finally know the price of things :)

@TheMitelGuy 6940 vs 5360

The 6940 advantages (off the top of my head)
comes natively with Bluetooth connections
Has a built in USB port for charging devices
Has a better quality speaker phone
Has 96 programmable buttons vs 48
Has easy to implement branding images and screensavers
Has built in troubleshooting tools (e.g. Can wireshark directly on phone)

I'm sure if I delved into the manual I would find several more items that would support my "Better" description.

To be honest, I can't think of 1 thing a 5360 has over the 6940 unless you want to discuss aesthetics and even then it is debatable.

Just passing this along. Mitel 6900 series phones will be available on Mitel 250 in Non-SIP basis in Late October. Caveat...Mitel 6900 series phones will only work on Mitel 250s with MAS/Phone Manager. Every 6900 Series phones must have a Phone Manager License to work on Mitel 250. I believe it was lack resource issue on the 250. I was told this last week at the Atlanta Roadshow

@kwbMitel - It really depends on what you like. I find the 5360 a far nicer looking phone. I would rather have the 5360 on my desk (I have two of them on my desk) then the 6940 (which I have one of on my desk as well). I think the 5360 were styled nicely. The speakerphone on the 6940 is MASSIVE (just compare the left side of the phone to the right - the massive square on the left side is the speaker inside - it takes a lot of real estate). I find the 5360 simpler to use because the keys are easier to identify. For example, finding hold takes a while on the 6940. I'm positive the 6940 will outsell the 5360, but that's because it's the new direction/the future. The 6900 series phones are cheaper than the 5300 series to manufacture. There was a lot of quality put into the 5300 series phones.

@TheMitelGuy - What you are discussing are the aesthetics I mentioned as debatable. Not because I wanted to debate them though.
