Boot into safe mode and remove any video drivers/displays that you see from Device Manager. Reboot back to Normal Mode and reinstall the Forceware drivers.

If you made any changes to the BIOS when you installed the card, that could also be your problem. You might have enabled something or modified the AGP Aperture, for example, that is making things worse.

thanks for the reply. i have already done that 2 times. once to install the latest forceware drivers and another time to try some older forceware drivers (i am familiar with the drivers problems nvidia has).

ok, so what about your BIOS? Did you comb through there for any settings you might have changed from the default. Look for AGP Fast Write and try disabling it if it's enabled. Also make sure the AGP Aperture is set to the default (64MB). If it's a PCI-Express card, then obviously this is not the problem.

Also, you went through at least another upgrade (your RAID array). So, the problem may be more than the video card.

If you still have your old one, you could take the time and see if throwing that back in eliminates the problem. We want to be sure it's the video card at this point...

When uninstalling drivers, I like to use a utility called DriverCleaner. It is a freeware software and basically, you remove your drivers from the Add/Remove Programs list as normal, reboot and then run drivercleaner and it will remove any bits of driver still left in your system. then, reboot again and do a fresh install of the NVidia drivers.

It has sometimes fixed problems for me.
