Any idea why this switch only boots into rommon?

What is Congig resister set to?

6500 Sup720s have two 'processors' - layer-2 switch processor and layer-3 route processor. When it boots its the L2 engine that initially boots and then hands over to the L3 engine. Both have boot characteristics that can be set. Check the L2 engine is set to boot:

Thanks for all of the information. My configuration register is 0x0 (will be 0x2102 at next reload)
