Hi chaps,
I have set my AIX box to run in 64bit kernel mode, however, I'm now getting errors upon boot.
64bit was enabled with the following:
1. login as root (superuser) and enter the following commands.
2. ln -sf /usr/lib/boot/unix_64 /unix
3. ln -sf /usr/lib/boot/unix_64 /usr/lib/boot/unix
4. bosboot -ad /dev/ipldevice
5. shutdown -Fr
6. Wait for the system to reboot, login as root and run the following command
7. bootinfo -K (if 64 bit application environment is running correctly this should now show 64)
And it gives the following errors at boot:
0 1188772290 Sep 2 23:31:30 portmap: terminating on signal.

Its a right puzzler, and I haven't a clue, anyone?
Many thanks,
