We originally purchased a Compaq ML370 server with the 532 controller. The problem we have is that we cannot change the read/write cache percentages. In fact, we don't have any other options aside from 100% Read and 0% Write. Our supplier then gave us the 642 controller, but this hasn't helped. (The only difference we've noticed is that the 532 had a 32MB cache and the 642 has a 64MB cache.) We really want to change this, but cannot see any way of doing so. Could anyone give any advice, suggestions, or point out something obvious that we may have missed?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks for that Adagio. We had started to have suspicions about whether the battery modules would be what's missing. We've gone back to our supply and are now asking for them to rectify this.
