6416D Program Speed dial Outside Number on Button

Is there a way on the 6408/6416D's to program an unused button to autodial to an outside number? In the old days you could pop the phone into programming mode and do it.

you should still be able to do that, but you have to define the buttons as autodial first.

yes as eclemente said, you program the "unused" buttons for autodal. Leave the number field blank. then add a abr-prog button. ours is set up on a softkey. Once you do that just have the users press the "prog" button an follow the instructions.
