6416D+M Handset Problems?

I was wondering if anyone else has ever had issues with this model phone? I recently purchased some refurbed 6416D+M phones to which I attached a headset and a brick for some new CS agents we recently added. For some weird reason, the handsets on two of them have gone "dead" but the headset still works. ? I've swapped phones and handsets and it seems to cure the problem for a short while until the handsets go dead again. What's going on here? Any ideas?

I would return the phones or dump them in the trash. We purchase refurbs all the time (6408, 6416, and 6424) and have never experienced the problem you've described.

I had the same issue with refurbished 6424+M phones. I purchased 6 in January and they worked fine. Then purchased 7 more in April, from the same vendor, and had to return/exchange them all. Handset cuts out, but speaker works. Caller could hear you, but you couldn't hear the caller. Very intermittent problem. The vendor suggested it may be a flash hook problem.
