We have a 6416 phone that we need to program a modem on and we have never done one on a Avaya. On a Nortel we use an ATA and just program on the TNB, on the Avaya we think it requires a data extension, but we are really lost on this one...any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Page one of the station form:

Change Data Option to analog. You'll get an automatic page added to the end of the form. Fill that out with an extension number for the 100A Analog Module you've inserted into the bottom of the 6416D+M. You'll also need an external power supply, like a 1151B1, hooked up properly.

We tried the above steps and were not able to get it work. We continue to get a busy signal on that line. Is there a certain feature package that we need or something else we are missing?

Check your COR.

Do you hear your device dialing? Do you have a plus sign (+) in the upper right hand corner of the display on your 6416?

I have found that you sometimes need to busy and release the station to make it work.

Also, like rockspop said, make sure that the power supply is working...
