I have a XP1.0 server and only one user gets an error that 1024x768 is not available and only gets a 640x480 window this happens in LINUX and MS i seems that it is linked to his account and i have attempted to troubleshoot that with no avail any other user has no problems

It could be a problem with the users's profile. Try to delete his profile and login with the user. Perhaps his color depth of his screen settings was to high to support 1024X768.
