I have a 2003 print server and need to load drivers for 64 bit XP machines. The 2003 server is 32 bit and I do not have any 64 bit 2003 servers. When I try to add the driver I get a pop-up requesting the server 2003 64 bit disk. Since I do not have any 64 bit 2003 servers I do not have this disk. Is there any way for me to load the drivers for ^$ bit XP machines onto my print server?

You might try installing the printer locally to LPT1 on the 64bit XP machine using the appropriate 64bit driver. After the install is complete, delete the printer but keep the driver installed. Then connect to your server and install the network printer. Since the correct driver is already installed locally, it may work. I have not had an opportunity to try this yet so please give your results. We used to have to play this game back when we had Windows 2000 desktops trying to print through NT4.0 servers.

I was able to get the driver but the server asked for a 64 bit 2003 server disk. I downloaded a trial version from microsoft and burned it to CD. This worked except for 2 files were missing that the install of the drivers wanted. I was able to download the missing DLL from the net and the other file was on the XP machine and I was able to use it. This seems to work now without any issues. I will post the 2 missing files when I return to work tomorrow.

Here are the 2 files that were missing:
pjlmon.dll
STDNAMES.GPD

I was able to download the DLL off the net and the XP machine had the .gpd file.
