64 bit kernel and JFS2 filesystems after alt_disk_install

We are doing an alt_disk_install on a 5.1 32-bit system. We want to have a 64-bit system with JFS2 filesystems when we boot to the new OS level.

Is this possible without having to boot a second time to make it a 64-bit kernel?

You will need to establish the 64-bit kernel links and then reboot. Reboot is needed.
