Greetings!
Our office has a number of 6250's running the CentreWare software. The feature that allows the printers to automatically order consumables via an e-mail to Xerox is enabled. My understanding is that the e-mail is sent at the same time as the message (e.g. Cyan Toner Is Low) appears in the front panel display. I believe this happens when there is about 10% life left in a part. Assuming that is correct, here is my question:
If a user replaces a toner cartridge (or any other part) with a new one as soon as the message appears and then at some point in the future puts the "low" part back in the printer, will the printer send another e-mail? I know that the "low" message will appear in the panel when the used part is installed, but will an e-mail be sent?
In other words, can you fool the CentreWare software into ordering extra spares by sticking "low" (but still good) parts into the printer?
Thanks in advance for your help with this question.
