After checking FAQ and searching on hotlines, the following question is posted:
I want to set up a 2-way hotline between a 500-set and an M2616. On the M2616 end, I do not want the DN associated with this end to have an analog appearance (i.e. I do not want to burn an analog TN). Can someone give me and example of how you would program this?

Why would you think you need an analog TN at the 2616 end?

THE 500 WILL BE NOTHING BUT A HOTLINE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DO NOTHING ELSE WITH IT.

you can make the hot two way if you need to with feature
cls mnl
ftr xxxxx yyyyy

then at the 16

key 5 yyyyy xxxxx

i usually use 7 digit dn's for hot, they don't need to be dialable.. if i use a did you can call a hot line set internal or external
