I became keeper of a 616 system last week, until then the only exposure to any telco equipment was documentation (drafting) for the pots switch rooms and vsat terminals.

What I have:

- 1 616 nt5b01 cabinet
- 1 nt5b10cb software module installed
- 2 nt8b20 (m7310) phones
- 1 nt826b (t7208) phone

There is 1 line from the local switch hooked up (4 disconected) and only 3 stations presently hooked to the ksu. I can access basic phone functions on the 7310 phones
but the 7208 phone is locked down.

I tried to change the time on the system, but all passwords have been changed and I can't access anything.
I tried **admin (23646) with password 23646 but the display keeps reading 'retry'.
I tried **config (266344) with password 266344 with the same results.

How do I bypass/reset these passwords, and unlock the 7208 phone? I have no software or manuals. ANY help or sugestions are very welcome.

See FAQs this forum on 'debuging a N* KSU'. Or power down KSU, remove software cartridge, open said, with a low value resistor, connect accross termials of large trickle capacitor on the circuit board.
The former is safer.
