I've just installed a flash 2 onto a 616 DS DR5. Customer asked that all "0" calls that go unanswered be be routed to ext 21's mailbox not the general MB. I've disabled the GMB and set ext 21 to CFNA after 4 rings and CFB to voice mail. Incoming calls ring on ext 21 and are routed to AA via DRT after 3 rings giving the operator a chance to answer them before the AA comes on. Transfer recall has been set to 5 rings in order to not interfer with CFNA.

Operator status is set to available, ADTN 21, business open, Answer lines NO.

When ext 21 is busy "0" calls are sent 21's MB... exactly
as expected. But when "0" calls go unanswered... caller hears "the operator is not available" and the AA prompt plays again (return AA is Yes). Call routed to 21 by dialing 21 respond correctly. Does anyone know why?

I've gotten around the problem by including a dial "8" path to ext 21 in CCR but I'd really prefer to use "0".

why not set general delivery mailbox to 21 that way all is good and Nortel gods are appeased

Pat that's what I'm trying to do... by disabling the GMB and forcing 0 calls to the MB of 21

How can you change GMB from 10 to 21? Will there be message notification?

exsmogger that is the norm indeed, you also can change the name of MB 10 from GENERAL MAILBOX to the receptionists name too.
