Anyone know of a substitute for MS Excel to be installed on the server? I spoke to PF support a while back and they couldn't comment, but eluded to the idea as possible. They said that they were in partnership with Microsoft in design of their software, so they couldn't recommend anything but Excel.
I have a site that is too cheap to purchase MS Excel for their PF server, but they whine all the time about not being able to print or email reports directly from the server.
We have a Quote to this customer to replace their PF server, and it has MS Excel included in the quote. I don't think this will happen until after the holidays. So I am stuck trying to find an alternative solution as a bandaid.
Short of installing a trial version of Excel (they already went this route, and it can't be done again), and short of installing my volume licensed copy of Excel, I am stuck.
I have already tried Open Office - this didn't work.
