Hi

Experience with two Crucial C300 SSD`s on Marvell 6 Gbps Sata ports is poor(RAID 0).
Need a tested 6 Gbps Sata Raid controller card, suppporting Intel drivers(or another working model) for Asus 1366 Motheboard.
Any recommended card`s to a good price ?

Thank you,

Best regards

Oyvind

Any personal experience with this card vs Marvell integrated SATA ports ?

No, not really, at work we tend to use 3ware (LSI) controllers most of the time, but the ones we used are really not very good for SSD's, e.g. they only support 3Gb/s and have dropped one or more out of the RAID...

as to the Marvel onboard RAID, from my understanding, is just a software RAID on a chip, and thus any REAL hardware RAID card will obviously outperform it...

now, for personal use, if you have the money then do get a hardware RAID card, but if money is a problem then stick with the Marvel or the Intel software RAID...
