I surveyed a site several months ago to relocate an Avaya Office Ip 500 system. I did the initial install and know that I only need standard patch cords
for each phone, provided the jack is on a patch panel. Began work on new station cables today and realize now that many of the 4 pairs are
connected to a 6 conductor voice jack. My question is, has any one used a standard 6 conducter silver satin line cord on the Avaya sets?

Won't be a huge deal to swap out the jacks, there are only a few, but if the line cord swap works, this is the way I prefer to go.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sure, no problem. Only the center pair is used anyway.

Phone techs nowadays eh?
