6.6 image quality suddenly terrible

Quark 6.6 on mac 10.4.9 all of a sudden all images are printing horribly. same image to same printer out of Photoshop is fine. All images are updated in Usage. Images from a large document seem to print the preview, even though updated and available. Smaller documents print with tghe color balnce way off. TIA.

...i take it you are printing to a non-postcript device?

...are the images bitmap eps format? if they are you will likely be printing the preview rather than the full res, right click an eps image for preview resolution mode, this does slow quark down however...

...i avoid printing to a non-postcript devices from quark if i can help it, i personally take the option to make an RGB pdf first and print from acrobat...

...it would be worth checking your color management settings too...
