Hello,
Anyone up for a bit of SQL 6.5 nostalgia?
When trying to restore master on a test server I get the error 3403: page %d had non-log object ID etc.
The table sysusages for master from original database looks like this:
dbid segmap lstart size vstart
------ ----------- ----------- ----------- -----------
1 7 0 1536 4
1 7 1536 7168 3588
1 7 8704 1024 2564
1 7 9728 118272 11780
Where for new test server it looks like this:
dbid segmap lstart size vstart
------ ----------- ----------- ----------- -----------
1 7 0 1536 4
1 7 1536 7168 3588
1 7 8704 1024 11780
1 7 9728 118272 12804
I have expanded the new master in the same increments as the original, 2MB then 231MB, yet as you can see above they don't match.
I have noticed that there is another device called masterdataexpansion. Could master be spanning two devices? How can I rectify this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's driving me crazy!
Cheers, Chris
