6.1 _12 Upgrade...Language File Required

In a previous thread I asked about upgrading our new ip500v2 to 6.1 and if there were any issues with that rel. One responder remarked he had a problem with 14xx set firmware upgrades on expansion mods. Well I upgraded to 6.1_12 and also have the same problem. I have it configured for sets to retrieve their files from the sd card. When plugging in a 14xx set to the control unit mod it downloads all files correctly. When plugged into an expansion unit (ds 30) it receives it's firmware but when it comes to "Language File Required" it stops there waiting for the file, never receives it and does not come on line. If I unplug it and plug it into another port it comes up and seems to work correctly without receiving this Language File.

Question, for the sets that didn't receive the "Language File" is there anything I should be looking for as they seem to work correctly.

No, new system never any sets plugged in...In the past I've had to reboot when I had used all the ds ports and I needed to upgrade additional sets as the ports seem to have a memory of downloading files.

Yes, the 14xx sets download all of their files when plugged into the conbo cards in the control mod. They download their firmware files when plugged into the ds30 exp mods except for a "Language File"....not sure what it's used for but I don't see a difference in the operation between a set with it and one without it.

I never got a good answer to this thread but it looks like the 6.1_12 rel has a problem with 14xx upgrades

Can I downgrade to 6.1_5 without any problems...I've never tried it.

Ok downgraded to 6.1_5 and the 14xx phones download all their files correctly whether they're plugged into the control mod or a ds30 mod.

It still amazes me how Avaya can continually release upgrades with such fundamental flaws without a retraction or disclaimer on the download support page.
