Does anybody know how to get rid of this. It wont even allow me to download ad-aware or spybot. Causes Internet Explorer to cause Error reports and close. I have windows xp and need to get this off. Its driving me crazy.

Get something besides Internet Explorer to download with. Here's a good one:

That's a windows port of wget, a gnu tool I just can't live without. You will have to run it from a command line (hit windowskey+r, then 'cmd<enter>' without quotes).

for a good while now, haven't had a bit of problems. Maybe give it a shot after you fix the broken one you're using now
