56K Modems

What kind of 56K modem would I need to have in order for the modem to return 'VOICE', 'RINGING', and 'BUSY' as result codes? For example, let's say my modem called someone, and a person answers, the modem would return 'VOICE'. I'm really confused on which modem to buy. Would I need a 'Voice' modem? Or would a Fax/Data modem still return the 'VOICE' result code?

The type of modem that will fit your needs is known as a voice, fax, data modem. These modems handle transmissions of voice, fax and data. Many 56k modems on the market today are these types of modems and can be found at many electronic and office supply stores.
