Have a 5698 rebooting with this error a dozen times a day

"2017-01-18 20:55:16 GMT-05:00 31 NVR Sw Exception: Task tDHCP, Type Data
Access, PC 0x0117967c, SP 0x07c8e460 UP 00:01:46:18 UTC WED JAN 18 20:52:45 20"

Any ideas? is there a way to decode the PC ip address from that hex?

I saw a similar error on the web (without solution) but they were running older SW and with the newer it was supposedly fixed....supposedly..

Thanks in advance!

Multiple Sw exceptions are usually bugs. Do you have DHCP fwding/snooping enabled? You could try disabling the feature to see if it solves the problem (proving it's a bug).

The hex is referencing a memory location not an IP address.

Forwarding yes, snooping no....

Its possible the issue was discovered as a department put an old 3com 10/100 switch in their office and I guess it was requesting an IP.....

Removed it yesterday and the problem hasnt happened again (yet). Now why that would cause the 5698 to reboot is the curious question...but its fixed (i think)
