5632FD stacking issue

We are stacking a 5632FD with a 5520-48TPWR. We are running the 5632 in hybrid mode to get it to see the 5520. It would not otherwise. We noticed that ports 31 and 32 on the 5632 are being allocated automaticaly for stacking.

Is this the norm on these or is there a way to configure the 5632FD to use the normal stacking ports on the back? We saw that this doesn't happen with other 56xx series when stacked with he 55xx switches.

Have you made the 5600 the base unit? In a hybrid stack the 5600 must be set as base.

Yes, it is the base.

What versions of code are you using?

Have you tried breaking the stack and factory defaulting the switches, before stacking them again?
