Is there a setting for echo? Or there a special software load? It seems the phone has echo. But if I switch the set with another it does the same. I checked "direct media path" it is checked. Any ideas?
Analog trunks? Then the only remedy is to either switch to digital lines if possible or upgrade to a IP500 with IP500 trunk cards.
The IP500 analog trunk cards are superior to the IP400 analog trunk cards and in most cases it will not have the echo problem.
If not analog lines then play around with the used codec, G.711 should give the best result.
turn off Automatic Gain Control if it has it, can't remember if the 5600 series has it.
Make sure that if you have analog trunks that the impedance matching is done.
