5621IP VPN Phone + Backlight = no go (as we know)

I do know this is a common issue with installing VPN firmware on a 5621, but you know it looks crap when you start the phone up and hello a nice backlight then once the vpn application loads on the phone thats the last you saw of it.

you can imagine the customer feels pretty ripped off!

are there any fixes yet anywaone knows of? perhaps a work around?

First it did not turn of and now it does

I think it needs to be connected to the ipoffice to get that control

you mean the backligt during boot up?

how about a fix for getting the backlight to work full time?

Downgrade to 4.2.4 i think

I did a search and someone mentioned not getting the light of at 4.2.11

Do you the bin files from that software level
It could be hard codec in those files !!!

hmmm good point. ill get the handset upgraded to match 4.2(17)

its actually our bossed phone at home.... hes keen to get it working!
