5620SW blank after startup "loading" message

Hi,

Got a 5620SW that goes blank on the display after the loading message. If I hit * I'm able to enter IP adress and those settings but after reboot the same thing happens.

Found that when I enter MUTE-VIEW-# and look through the phone information it says "<no app name>" where my 5610 tells me what application file it uses.

Anyone know how to fix it or do I have to ship it to Avaya. (or to the junkyard)

Maybe starting a tftpserver with the 2correct bin files and 2 upgrade files 46xxsettings.txt and 46xxupgrade.scr for the 5620 in the directory would help.
You'll have to program not only the IPAdress subnet, iPoffice IPadress but also the tftpserver-ipadress.

When rebooting, the phone should then get the new boot file and after programming/flashing and rebooting the new application file.

If you are using 3.1.56 please use the 2_3 binfiles from 3.1.65 same 2_3 version but will program and reboot if they are not on the same subnet as the IP-Office.

It doesn't even try to contact my TFTP server, probably since it doesn't have the software for it

connect it to your laptop or pc with a crosscable
try to get the file straight from there
also you can try to download the 2_2 files to the phone so that it is basic again
so use a crosscable ,a static ipadres in the same range as the pc and then the tftp adres is the adres of the pc
than it pulles straight from your pc without a IPO

is your phone in a different sub-net?
then use the binaries provided in the 3.1.65 version, previous files gave the problem you describe.

Just for info, usually when the IP Phone starts up it says what software it is loading while counting up the timer.

My phone seems to have lost it's software completely since it says <no app name> when checking the phone info.

My TFTP server works fine on my other phone and I have to correct subnet and my current bin files is currently 3.2 17.

The phone doesn't even try to connect to a TFTP server, I get no network trafic to the server.

I could test to put a sniffer on the phone just to see if it does anything.

I goes blank when it should say "100 mbit ethernet, press * to configure", if I wait nothing happens and if I press * I get to configure the IP adress and so on.
