Can both halves of the 5560 be operated or used via a single handset?

Yes no problem, have this set up at a customer.

If you read the 5560 User Guide it tells you all.

Basically just plug one handset in the left side (from memory) and that's it pretty much.

Are you using it as one phone or two seperate?

Thanks.

Don't have any yet, but was thinking about recommending it for a special application where I presently have a few remaining Etrali Mark-II turrets just for their extensive 1-button speedcalls (with labels) Only problem is the 5560 still doesn't give me enough (96) - the Etrali phones have 180 in 5 pages of 36 w/onscreen labels and I have a couple users already with 120 defined. Maybe time to see if they can cull some of that. I need to retire the turret system, only 6 users left on it. That's a big machine footprint and big power hog for only 6 phones.

That's exactly the type of situ i've put them in. A dealer operation that only had 4 dealers! They've been able to free up a whole rack!!

Wow though that's a lot of speeddcalls! How about using it in conjunction with YA? The 5560 is supported in the latest release? Can have loads then?

Thanks, but I'm having trouble drumming up support for anything to do with hyper-critical phones having to rely on anything Microsoft.

If/when the balloon goes up, these 6 phones simply must always work. Let there be no redress or petition from the stipulations herein laid down and presented. They've got to !@&^%^# work! (US critical infrastructure related).

That's why after all these years they're still on a DC-powered redundant system w/redundant trunk gateway (on the Etrali side) getting trunks from 2 separate (also DC powered) redundant 2K's & diversified routing from 2 separate central offices. Having those 6 phones OOS is just not an option.

I'm still licking my wounds from the clawing-up I got in the 3 meetings we've had about moving them to IP, citing the old equipment's MD/EOS. There are major warring factions on both sides; one holding a torch to my backside screaming that we've got to go to VOIP and the other holding a torch to my feet demanding 9-9's reliability.

I'm thinking it might be a good time to retire.
