5550Ip Console and Remote BLF/DND

Hi Guys,

We have two MXe's ver 8.0.5.12 connected via ip trunks. They are setup for resiliency using Ents Man.
There are however a few extns installed direct on the second controller which have no resiliency.

We have installed a 5550 console on the primary mxe but it cannot see anything from the second controller. The BLF list is populated only by the extns on the primary mxe. I am presuming the console does have the ability to see the other mxe's directory but not sure how to tell the 5550 to do it?
Ultimatly, our goal is to be able to use the consoles ability to put any phone in the network/cluster in DND at will.

You are speaking of 2 things.

For the BLF the system that is local to the 5550 must have a local BLF created to monitor the remote form. This requires. This requires 2 steps. Create the BLF on the local system, then on the remote system, in the Remote BLF form, you must tell the DN that it has a remote BLF.

For the DND you need to have the cluster setup to allow Remote Feature activation.

Thanks for your help. I'm unable to check at the moment as I am on training but am I right in thinking to enable the "Remote Feature Activation", the elements in the cluster should have a Feature DN number specific to that system?

Correct, Each cluster Element requires its own Feature DN.
