Hi

Version 6 IP 5550 console keeps going into night service randomly.

changed all wiring, network card and port on switch.

still no luck.

any comments/ suggestions?

thanks in advance

Is the console loosing network connectivity?

Also check the COS for you console. Look for attendant busy out timer. should be 1440 if you want to disable it going to night service after 10 minutes of no calls.

Momentary loss of AC power would cause it also.
When the console boots up, it comes up in Night Service 1

Are you using a handset or headset? Try change it. Failing that, change the 5550.

With each new load of 3300 software they usually introduce a new load of 5550IP console software. Make sure you are up to date.

Older TDM consoles used to go into night service if the handset or keyboard ( handset again ) were disconnected. I have seen consoles ( TDM ) where a defective handset cord has caused the console to go into night service whenever the handset was moved in a particular direction.

Power to the handset module. Faulty power could cause a problem.

The 5550 will do the same as SC1000 console if the handset is upplugged.

I would make sure you have the correct version of software on the console.
