5550 console

Hello,
I have a 5550 console connected to a MXe with MCD4.1sp1
Is it possible for the operator (5550) to dial an external number, and while the number still rings the other side, to transfer this to a internal extension.

I cant get this to work, not until the external call has been answered first, wil it be possible to transfer the call.
