5550 console v6 issues again!

3300 running v5.2 and 5550 console with local blf working fine.

another engineer upgraded to v6 on 3300 and console and changed the 3300 controller ip address to boot.

The problems i now have are as follows:

1. console keeps trying to connect to the old controller ip address. i have made a file read only as mentioned here but this is only a work around.

2. cannot access the blf edit option on the console as it gives me a message saying contact your administrator. Also when i add extensions in the remote blf form on the 3300 they are added successfully but when i exit and go into the form again they have all gone!

don't forget i am setting it up in the same way i did before the upgrade.

To stop the console from trying to contact the old ip address i simply re-installed the console software to a different location on the local drive and that cured all my problems

I set-up the BLF as mentioned in the help file by using a dummy extension with dual pkm programmed then assigning blf apperance to each key.This is a shame as on other sites i did not have to do this.Mitel says do as per the help file!

setting blf that is so much of a pain i just use the remote busy lamp field and thats how i was told to do it on the course

do you mind elaborating on the blf programming. I only know the "phantom" dual pkm method. Is there an easier way?

just add all users to the remote blf form then they are available on the console.

This has worked for me on some sites but not on all!!!

Ok will try that next time. Must admit though the method as described in the online helpfile has always done the trick for me, all beit very tedious to set up.
