5550 Console question

Hi Guys,

I have a customer who operates a 5550 console and has a problem where they want to overflow unanswered calls to a pick up group. However once it has gone to the group they want also to be able to retrieve the call again from the console. Can this be done and if this how do I set this up.

a multiline group with delayed ring and simply leave it ring at the console as well.

Wireman50 - On a 5550 console? I don't think so.

Calyx123 - you could try routing to a multicall key and from the console you could try a directed call pickup. The console cannot be set to ring.

That is what I meant but failed to phrase it very well at all....also wonder if the recover key would work? is an overflow counbted as a transfer? I don't know.

wireman50 - Recover key is only for transferred calls.

One other option. Leave the call ringing at the console. With release 4.2 you can now use call pickup from the console.

Not sure if attendant overflow feature would work.
